West Lothian’s first bespoke cook school.

We would like you to have a look through our pages and find out more about our exciting new cook school where we hope to change lives through food; whether you want to work with it or just learn how to cook and eat it.

We opened our bespoke cook school in October 2014 and now deliver a range of cookery activities for adults, children and corporate customers. If you want to cook then you have come to the right place, browse our website and book our classes online now.

Corporate customers can browse our corporate pages and learn how we can help you reward your business success and help you build future success.

Schools and communities can book the use of our cook school or we can come to you with our back pack cook school.

No matter what age or where you are in West Lothian if you want to cook we can help you.

The Larder Cook school


We endevour to change lives through food.

Registered as a charity and Company Ltd by guarantee under the name of The Larder West Lothian we aim to relieve poverty and re-engage individuals and communities with food.

We have a passion for food and cooking and want to see an end to food poverty in West Lothian and beyond.

We also believe that everyone has the right to reach their full potential and recognise that some people need a bit more time and support to do that; food is a great tool to help achieve change in your life.

We have two priorities:

  • To support young people experiencing multiple barriers into work in the hospitality sector

  • To get as many people in West Lothian cooking their own food

We operate The Larder Cook School as a social enterprise and opened our bespoke cook school in October 2014. This means that we run as a business but all profits made are re-invested into our training and employability programmes; helping the most disadvantaged young people move in to work in the hospitality sector.
