The Larder has been successful in securing funding from The Scottish Government Community Capacity and Resilience Fund. We secured £4900 to pilot a cooking programme called Let's Cook.
The project, Let’s Cook, will be geared towards individual and community need and will deliver cooking skills in local communities thus offering longer term solutions to food poverty. We will link with West Lothian Food Bank and those working to relieve food poverty to identify those most in need.
Each course will consist of 6 x 3hr sessions which will incorporate eating a meal together at the end of each session. The sessions will be held in 6 priority communities between October 2015 and December 2015.
