Come along and decorate your own Fruit Cake for Christmas under the expert tuition from our Award Winning Chef and Sugar Craft Tutor Dereick, who has been involved with cake decorating for almost 40 years.
This is a 2 part course
Week 1 Monday 4th December 2017 6.30pm-9.00pm - Learn how to prepare your cake for covering in marzipan, then coat the cake. Prepare and coat the marzipaned cake with sugar paste, then crimp the edges to start the decoration. Dereick will then discuss the design for the decoration of the cake.
Week 2 Monday 11th December 2017 6.30pm-9.00pm - Learn different techniques and ideas for decorating your cake. The design can either be your own or follow Dereicks design. We will also introduce you to Royal Icing for piping both an inscription and a simple design on the side of the cake.
All you need to bring is a sense of fun.
