The Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate

The elementary food hygiene certificate of the Royal Environmental Institute of Scotland (REHIS), is a Level 2 Qualification in food hygiene which is nationally recognised in all sectors of the food industry.  The qualification is equivalent to Level 2 Food Safety awards in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.  The certificate is awarded to participants who have successfully completed the Elementary Food Hygiene Course and subsequent assessment.

The course takes a minimum of six hours and has been designed to provide information and advice which will help employers and employees to ensure that food handling activities are carried out safely.

This course is ideal for anyone thinking of working in the food industry, even if only for a short period.
