The vision of The Larder is to make a positive impact on the social wellbeing and economic future of West Lothian’s neighbourhoods, through developing, empowering and inspiring individuals and communities to achieve their true potential through education, food and social enterprise.

To inspire the use of food to change lives and build empowered and resilient Communities.

The Larder is clearly defined as and operates and markets itself as - a social enterprise. It aims to become self-sufficient through a range of enterprise initiatives, including:

Training Academy – Training and Employability services for the hospitality sector

Cook School - leisure cookery classes and social evenings, for all ages, commercially priced

Food Enterprise Projects - café/bistro, micro bakery, food production unit, providing training, work experience placements and creating jobs.

Social Food – addressing food poverty by equalising access to food and the social activities related to it.
